Default Do all Americans who have health insurance now know what will happen if...

...Obama or Hilary....................... become President and get their socialized medicine/national healthcare plans passed?

-Longer lines/waits at your doctor's office
-More bad doctors practicing medicine (because they are getting paid less).
-Even less attention & poorer service from your doctor because he/she has to see so many more patients.
-Even more out of pocket costs because you'll have to pay extra to see your doctor if you want to get the service you use to get before the Obama or Hilary plans.

So which do you want: the same great care you've been getting from your doctor for you & your family or making sure 40 million strangers get some medical care?

I know Hilary & Obama don't tell you the bad parts about their socialized medicine/national healthcare plans for America.

Oh & don't forget the tax raise that you'll be getting as well to pay for their plans.

Just so you know ,nationalized health care was part of the 1968 Republican platform
How elitist is this question? God forbid we inconvenience the people that Conservative laisse-faire economic policies have not deprived of health care by making them wait with the great unwashed proletariat that those economic policies have deprived of their health care
The fact of life is that if people don't have health care the governments is going to pay for it anyway .The difference is that instead of waiting until a condition gets really serious and then going to the ER of a county hospital to treat it -which is the single most expensive way to do it - People may be able to visit an FP and catch the condition early while it's still cheap.either way the public pays for it.
Just so you know, part 2 there is no correlation between how a good a doctor is and how much money they make There are thousands of doctors all over America that are making between ten and twelve bucks an hour -they're called residents
If I was in a really bad car accident I would much rather put my life in the hands of a 50 K fourth surgical resident who was working at a Level 1 trauma center than some 500K surgeon who was workin at a small community hospital and mastering lap cholly's in his spare time
There are also some really excellent doctors out there who work for The Indian Health Service ,The Military ,The Public Health Service for wages that are considerably less than the private sector pays.

Well, I am among the fortunate who have never been without health insurance. I have had good-paying jobs all my life, for great companies, and have had pretty good health care the whole time.

Most industrialized nations have national health coverage. Our system stinks. Look at the data. Sure it is good for 60-80% who have good employer-paid health care. But what about everyone else!

Comprehensive, single-payer health care would be one of the best things to happen in this country in a long time!

All one has to do is look at the current medical systems in place here to see the red tape, confusion and abuse it has to know anything the govt touches is sure to fall apart...you forgot one other important thing...eventually the system could be overwhelmed and then they could decide if your lifestyle is worth any medical care...such as being a smoker, obese or have more drinks in a week they deem acceptable.
