Make sure you read ALL of the fine print and ask the right questions before buying an insurance policy- you need it "quick" but many have a "pre-existing " clause, which means if you already have an illness- they will not pay for anything associated with the illness for a given time period (one year, or 18 months typically). Ask about deductibles, covered services, co-pays, co-insurance, network providers, out of pocket maximums, lifetime maximums-
There are so many scam insurances out there, go with a known name- United, Blue Cross, Kaiser and do research before buying anything. If you are healthy- consider not getting it. A doctor's office visit is about 60 bucks- consider the cost of not having it at all.
