I have a 2 month lapse in coverage while changing jobs. COBRA family is very expensive. I live in NY, is there any way to just get ins. to cover my newborn?

i know in PA they have CHIP which is a governement based program that insures all kids, but see if they have something similar in NY, some people get it for free, and others have to pay..but they cover anyone uninsured, regardless of income as far a children are concerned....look into it, call a government office or something..hope this helps.

Check with your State's children's programs (welfare/WIC, etc.) I know that several counties in my state offer child-only programs that are partially state funded.
