Not sure where you are located, but usually if you get a prescription for them they tend to be more expensive. But in your area you should have a health clinic and you could go there and they are cheaper there.

i suggest going to your local Planned Parenthood. That's what I did before I had insurance. Prescription companies rip you off for cost of pills if you don't have insurance.

Good luck.

The person who mentioned samples is right. Most doctors will give you samples, at least for a few months. Planned parenthood or another clinic like it (it's called Adagio health in my area) has a sliding scale. Meaning the less money you make, the less you pay. If you are very low income, you may get the pill and your regular office visits for free. Once I started making over about $20,000 they no longer gave me a discount. But since you're unemployed and a college student, it will be free or close to it.

Full time college students have a health center you may be able
to get them there for a low fee of $5
Plan Parenthood will always help
You have a prescription ask the doctor that gave it to you to give you samples
