not married? We have lived together about a yr and half....we been together 3 yrs.... we are planning to get married...but just havent done it yet...we think it would be better to wait until we have our lifes completely settled before having a wedding...

can i still be added to his health insurance....at my job they offer insurance but it is way to expensive and it will take most if not all of my check....

You can't be added. You're not legally a dependent. Why can't he claim non-dependents? Because healthcare in America is expensive and they don't want to pay if they dont have to.
P.S. - Many companies are performing audits of the people their employees are claiming as dependents and really cracking down, so I wouldn't try it.
