I'm 20 years old and just got health insurance recently. I have not had a chance to visit a doctor in a while. I need to schedule an appointment but am not sure how. Is it as simple as calling the office and asking to schedule an appointment? Do I have to track down my previous medical records and have them transfered? Thanks for the help.

You should have received a list of medical doctors in your plan. Look through that booklet... find one near your neighborhood. Then call and schedule an appointment. When you go to that appointment, show your new ID card. They can get all of your old records from your other doctor if you want them to.

If they did not give you a list of doctors, just call any doctor and ask if they accept ABC Health Insurance. If they do, schedule an appointment.

Yes, call, make sure they are accepting new patients and make an appointment. They will ask you for all your insurance info and be sure to bring your card with you. I wouldn't worry about previous records unless you have something in your history the new dr should know about
