Default Hey All, my prescription for coumadin is out and I don't have health insurance right

now. What can I do? I had a DVT in my right leg. I don't want it to come back. What can I do to prevent this? Is there something natural, over the counter or food that I can eat to prevent a clot from returning?

There are certain things in nature that help to thin your blood. One of them is Gingko biloba.

Ginkgo biloba has a number of uses. It works by increasing blood flow to the brain and throughout the body's network of blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the organ systems. Some other benefits of ginkgo biloba are an increase in metabolism efficiency and an upsurge in oxygen levels in the brain that uses 20% of the body's oxygen.

Also Garlic is supposed to help thin the blood.
