Default Social security and health insurance?

A while ago, I read an article regarding social security and medicare. Essentially, the article said that social security is a relatively easy fix (either the contribution has to be increased by 1% for the employee and 1% by the employer or the cap has to be increased). On the other hand, medicare was really tough because health care costs rise much faster than inflation. Curious as to the opinions that people have.

Social Security should be privitized so I can manage my own investments.

Health insurance should be an individual's responsibility, not the government.
