I used to have a plan that covered my two kids and myself. It cost me 165 a paycheck (330 a month). That was just medical. It did not cover any preventative care or health screenings. The deductible was 1000 dollars, then the plan would cover only 70 percent of the bill, after copay that was based on a percentage of the cost of the visit. I dropped the plan and no insurance. It was a horrible deal. I would rather make monthly payments to the hospital, it's cheaper.
The problem with health care is the insurance companies.
$350 for family coverage. This is for a PPO which is the best type of insurance. We can go to any doctor, any hospital and have 100% coverage for all services including mental health, substance abuse, vision, prescriptions, physical therapy, etc.
