Hi Neighbor! I am also in NC. I did the bcbs of NC for a while, that got to be really expensive. Find an agent who represents several health care companies. I switched to welpath, and have a one man group policy with them . It saved me about 600 from what I was paying with BCBS of NC... you should call and ask and when they give you a quote ask them who they are basing this "great" deal off of..other than bcbs of nc i dont know of any other that an individual can get insurance from
