I dont have health insurance and I really need to buy some birth control pills now. What can I do to have the prescription ? I'm a college student and unemployed.

Planned Parenthood! Thats where I get mine and they are free. Plus you get a free exam. Go for it!

Your college should have a student health services office. They will usually give it to your for about 5 bucks. Or you can go to Planned Parenthood that's usually free or really cheap.

Like the others have said there are lots of resources for free/cheap birth control. Planned Parenthood, Student Health Centers, County Health Depts., etc. You will probably have to get a gyno exam in order to get the prescription, but the above places should offer those services too.

I would first try the local health department and if that doesn't work check out this site:

www.pparx.com This is a site that helps you find medicine that is for low income individuals. I have gotten two different medications from this.

see if your college has a nurses office, my college had a medical office where students could get basic check ups etc free of charge. They might be able to write you a prescription but won't charge you for a visit.

Good luck.
