Does this make sense when it comes to health insurance?
A person does not get charged a Higher premium for health insurance if they are smokers, yet they will flat out deny a person with type 2 diabetes if he/she was not previously insured, even if this type 2 diabetic is in general very healthy does not drink or smoke and is not overweight. How does this make sense?
No Smokers do not pay higher premiums for health insurance. Also if you choose to smoke shouldn't you go kill yourself because you are going to die. People with type 2 diabetes can live long and healthy lives with proper care and maintanince and are very productive members of society.
Diabetics do not need dialysis.
My sister is an attorney and I have a cousin who is an MBA, but I see your point.
