Default Why health insurances* don’t cover herbal medicines and oriental physician's visit?

*Health insurances such as Medicare, Medi-cal (CalOptima in OC), HMO etc...

Because such things are not researched and approved by the American Medical Association. Therefore they are in the same class as "magic" and "voodoo" for health care.
