Default Why do people compare requiring people having to carry car insurance with...

...required they carry health insurance In NY we are required to carry LIABILITY INSURANCE only. That protects OTHER people if I do damage. I do not have to carry insurance to cover my own car. If I total it then that is my own problem just like if I get sick and need care. I will get that care and paying for it is my problem not everyone else's.

Actually paying for it is everyone elses problem.......many, many without insurance dont pay for their care, or cannot [ay for their care...that cost is then passed on to everyone else in the form of higher fees.

So your say you don't want heath care for yourself because you don't want to spend the money, and your not covered by any plan
Can I assume your not sick?
You use your car for a few hours, your body all day long.
Your rich you don;t care because you have options.
Some are poor, with families, and can't afford it, and have no options

That's the argument put up by people that are against Universal Health Care. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

Your right. The required auto insurance protects other peoples property not your own. If one chooses to risk not paying for insurance then they take the chance of big bills which will be their problem.

Would be better to just make a law to enforce buisnesses, including corporations, to provide good affordable medical insurance. Originally that is one thing corporations were known for. If you take care of the company, the company will take care of you.

Those were the days, before Sam Walton died and people hijacked the monster he created.
