Default I'm applying for health insurance from my employer who doesn't know I'm...

...pregnant yet, what should I do? I found out I was pregnant a few days after I started working for this company. Now that I completed the 3 months probation period, I'm applying for health insurance but in the form I'm filling they ask if I'm pregnant! I don't want to brake the news this way, I wanted to tell the in a more courteous manner because they've been really good to me. Now it seems that I'm handing the papers and telling them that I'm 4 months pregnant!!! Does not look very appropiate, but I'm force to do it. I need the insurance badly, it's true, but that is not the reason I got a job in hte first place.

Do what you need to do. If you have to turn the papers in now then do it. This is about the health of you and your baby and insurance is VITAL for that.

Manners can wait while you get what you need.

Why don't you go ahead and tell them your pregnant now and then turn in the papers afterwards? Are your employers going to read these papers, or just the insurance company? Also if you're counting on the insurance covering your birth you'd better make sure they don't count pregnancy as a pre-existing condition, because your birth and prenatal visits probably won't be covered by your new insurance. Good luck.

Tell them you wanted to wait till you started showing to share your news but becaues you are filling out the insurance papers you wanted to tell them before they read it.

If you put down on your insuranc papers that your pregnant, than you will not get pregnancy insurance. Since your 4 months along you cant just say..ooops, didnt know. If I were you I would try to get pregnancy medicade before you get insurance. You can have a pretty high income and still get it. As for telling your employer, I feel like you should tell them really soon.

I dont think they will cover your pregnancy so why the need for insurance? Is there another medical problem you have that you need help with right now? The baby will however be fully covered once its born. Good luck
