If you know the name of the insurance company, then call them. If not, then call the state department of insurance. They could help track it all down.

YOU GUYS have insurance, or HE did? If his life was insured, you'll have to go through his papers and/or bank account statemetns to find the name of the company. You can call THEM, with his name and/or policy number, to see if the policy is still active. If it is, you can request claim forms, and fill them out and send them in. AT that point, the NAMED BENEFICIARY will get a check. You won't find out who it is unless that's you.
