Life insurance is a bet, and the odds are AGAINST your hubby making it another 20 years, so expect to pay, oh, maybe $15,000 a year for a $100,000 policy, for a 10 year term. If you're looking for something that's going to be $500 a year for a half million, well, those are HEALTHY person rates, not transplant rates.
Define your goal, what you want the life insurance to accomplish. Then sit down with someone, and see if there's a CHEAPER way to get to that goal, than life insurance.
