You don't say if you are working or not. If you are working, and there is universal or variable life insurance offered at work, find out if, when you leave the company, they allow you to take the policy with you, though you still have to pay a group rate for it. These are not term insurance policies, which never continues after you leave a company.
There are policies that cover "regardless of medical condition", I see these on TV all the time..(if you are in the USA) You also don't specify how much insurance you are looking for. This will make a difference in whether you are accepted by the companies that offer coverage for preexisting conditions.
I hope someone else has more info, or perhaps a specific company name for you. If you can get one, expect to pay a lot for a significant amount of coverage.
It's really not fair that a small amount of insurance cannot be offered to diabetics w/pre-existing conditions, at a reasonable price.
