there are some life insurance companies that state the insured person has to be alive for 2 years after the policy was created after 2 years pass you get full face amount.

It depends on three things:
1. What medication is it?
2. What do they take it for?
3. How well does it work?

The answer is usually "yes." You should work with someone who has a lot of experience handling underwriting issues to get the best end-result.
