Default My home insurance speaks of "acts of God". What's that if not blaming God...

...for terrible stuff?
Are there different insurance policies for atheists and religious?

That is the acknowledgment that God is in control. Just like money in God we trust. Man is a peculiar person!

lol
I love this question!!!
Personal I think they should be called acts of Nature instead of God. I personally believe that God does not impose his existence onto this world but lightly touches use with his love.

Answergrrl's got a point there...It seems "Mother Nature" should bear some of the blame...although I'm sure you'd need a witness who can recall what she was wearing the night she whipped up that tornado in order to collect on the policy.

As an attorney and religion buff, that is a very interesting question. It would seem that an atheist would be benefited under such a policy. For example, your house is destroyed by a hurricane. The policy will not reimburse for damages due to acts of God. The athiest says, there is no God, therefore, there the damages were not caused by acts of God and must be covered under some other provision of the policy, right? You might need an athiest insurance agent to make sure you can cover such events. Hmmmm. Good question.

The bible says all evil is from God. God is clearly the bad guy in the novel called Bible.
