Re: Insurance: Better to start with a retail branch or go sell in people's homes?
mbrcatz17's reply seems to come from somone who is not very successful in the business. I have been doing this for 15 years and never go to someone's home. I am an agent for State Farm insurance and have a business model that does bring people in the door.
Of course, I work hard to make that happen and spend alot of money on advertising, etc., along with the tremendous support that I receive from my company.
I would certainly recommend parntering with a large company unless you do want to knock on doors, ask all your friends to buy, and make phone calls from the phone book. Maybe that is what mbrcatz does.
Best of luck to you.
