Default Does homeowners insurance cover a leaking roof?

I just brought a 68 year old home. We were going through a drought and I did not know the roof was bad. The first heavy rain came and I found lots of water on one floor, sagging ceilings in another room and water stains. I had some work done to my bathroom and the contractor said there was wet wood in the ceiling. Does homeowner insurance cover this in any way?
I already had an inspection and I was told the roof looks sound however there was a disclaimer that stated that I should get a roof expert to check it out.

Possibly - check your policy, read what exclusions there are. Call your agent.

It depends. If the roof is 25 years old, then no. If the roof is damaged in a wind storm, yes.
