Will home owners insurance cover my auto after hitting a garbage can in the

middle of the road??? It was early in the morning, on a dark county road.....I struck the bottom of a black garbage can made of plastic. It was very cold and my bumper was damaged fairly well. It was not my garbage can or my home, will the homeowners inurance of that home cover my vehicle damage?
