It shouldn't but it will. President Bush has already declared the region a disaster area which means when all is said and down these people who have more money than I will ever see will get my money to rebuild with. Seems to me that everyone should be required to have homeowners insurance even the wealthy who live in Malibu which seems to either slide towards the ocean or burn every year.

No!! People prioritize and if they haven't spent their money on fire insurance they can pay for the rebuilding themselves.

It should give them each food, shelter, water and a debit card for $2,000 that can be spent on booze and strippers.

Otherwise there is no equality in this country, because that's what they gave the people from N.O. who were in the same situation.

NO first they should have insurance and if not then do what the rest of us without any insurance do. Start over again.

Many of these people already lived in disaster areas. If you live in a high risk area, prone to natural disasters, like FL, insurance premiums are either completely unaffordable, or are not even offered. After hurricane Katrina many insurance companies would not even offer homeowners insurance anymore, many would not renew policies, and many more increased their premiums.

Though they may be wealthy, they pay taxes too, yes they deserve aid. If it was your family you would say so too. My prayers are with them.
