homeowner's insurance and if so why is the government spending millions on this disaster. Is it for those who are not insured? Please someone who knows answer I don't need B>S>. I had a fire in my house and my homeowner's covered it.

It's not just the houses that have to be repaired, it's the roads the street signs, schools ect. Plus the cost of temporary housing. The insurance companies take time to issue their checks. Not to mention the cost of actually fighting the fire.
