Default If a person sends me a package with USPS, and puts insurance, do i have

to be home to get the package? Even with the package being insured, will USPS still leave it at my door. Also, can't i just leave a note saying "please leave package from *whatever location* on front door even if insured"?

Thanks so much...

I think so! I have had many left that way. If a signature is required then probably no. You could consider having a neighbor sign if they are good neighbors.

no you don't have to be home the usps will leave you a note in your mail to pick up a package at the post office then you go there and if the person put down that you need to sign for it you do that there i have had many packages and letters sent that way!

It would depend on the amount of insurance on the parcel, because there are two levels of insurance. If the parcel has a lot of insurance on it then it will have a colored tag on it and will have to be signed for. If you receive a peach slip sign the back of it and leave it your mailbox with instructions as to where you want the parcel left.

I don't think you have to be home to get it..If it was sent requiring a signature then someone would have to be there..I am sure if you put a note stating to give it to your neighbor they would do that.. you could put a tracking number on the package too..that way you can track it..
