Default if i pay cash for a home do i have to carry insurance on it?

also if i wait to move into it would there be any other costs besides taxes? thanks

even the house is fully paid up, it is good to have insurance to cover against
1) Fire
2) Content

This is for your own benefits in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. It take years to save $$$$$$$
