holiday was booked in the UK but the problem is travel insurance - Ok.for the person who lives in Uk . I live in France and the British in there wisdom will not cover me - so I tried to get cover in France that was no problem - BUT the Uk insurance will not accept it as they say that a 5million medical insurance is required. and the French do not state that - so unable at present to get cover. this is for only seven days. Uk want to take your money for a trip but will not insurance you - understandable if one lives abroad , but surely the same insurance is valid where ever you get the insurance. I have dealt with a large company here in france they cannot see the problem. But I am still unable to get cover on the Uk side. This is a special trip. Maybe we should have booked it in France. but too late now. Just need to find out if anyone else has had a problem with travel insurance
