My parents live in my home country (New Zealand) and I am an expat, living in Germany.
Where can I find insurance for travel costs, in the event of their death? I know they will die one day, and last-minute flights around the world can very expensive.
Alternatively, does anybody know if some airlines still offer special rates for family members in mourning?

I doubt you could get insurance for that! Try setting up a savings account instead. A few quid a month that you wont miss.
