Default Can anyone recommend a site we can look on for worldwide travel insurance...

...for a couple? We need it for 5weeks as we are visiting our daughter in Australia who also wants us to go to New Zealand while we are there. Most policies only cover you for 4weeks at a time and we are going for 5weeks.Thanks.

is it allowed to insure with two companies/ carriers . pay one policy for 3 weeks and i company for 1 week. ? not sure if this will work . ou might try aarp ? ask your travel agents . i've only purchased it one time in my life as our corporate insurance did provide coverage for international travel. you sometimes had to pay the bill but you applied for reimbursement once you came home and submitted bill. later the insurance carrier changed and we took a personal trip that was expensive so as a safeguard i decided to insure it. i think we bought it independently / googled travel insurance carriers or something. it was less expensive than what the travel agent offered through the cruise line.

You can just purchase an extended Premium for one week.
Any company does that!

BUT if you're planning to go to "A-N-Y" Muslim / Islamic country the Rates will triple or quadruple and you will not be insured beyond three (3) calendar weeks by many Carriers AND Double Indemnity is OUT! No wonder!

I use http://www.worldwideinsure.com/ and have been using them for several years. I don't think they are the cheapest but they have very good customer service (which I think is important if you need to make a claim).
