i am visiting America with my grandson, can anyone advise on reliable...

...travel insurance for us both? I am being quoted astronomical insurance rates because I am travelling with my grandson (aged 12) to America 13th August to 30th August, and wish for a reasonable quote. Anyone done the trip and got a decent quote?
