This is pure BS. My dad's old car got hit, and this guy's insurance co. won't give us money unless the car has a salvage title on it or something. I called them, and they said that the car isn't worth much, and that it simply must have a salvage title on it or they won't pay us.

Is that even right? Why on earth does it have to have a title in the first place? Just so they make our life harder when we want to sell that old thing? We just want our money, that's all. The man hit us, so we deserve all of the repair costs paid, and not by having some salvage title on it. Should we take the guy that hit us to court then?

I think it would be a good idea to read your insurance policy carefully to see if you can find something that helps you to discuss that problem with the insurance staff. I hope it helps..
