Default Is it fair to ask for proof of insurance before allowing a stranger to test

drive my car (which is for sale)? My insurance has a limited coverage for out of policy drivers. I've never ever sold a car before, but is it ok to ask for proof of insurance ?

sure, you can ask to hold their license, too

but if they wreck your car, and they don't have insurance, you can just sue them for the value...
