This is not bad luck it is a harsh lesson in stupidity. So you borrow thousands of dollars and don't insure the car....WOW. The only way you could have screwed this up more was to run into a bus full of pre-schoolers. On the bright side, from what you are telling us you aren't facing any liability claims against being brought against you, except possibly for the "wall."
Whoever you bought the car from and the credit union don't owe you a dime. However, you get to still make payments on a car you can't drive. Bet you don't do this again.
Since you are now stuck with a giant paperweight, I suggest you start looking for a body shop that can put the car back together with used body parts. (Don't put used suspension parts on the car- that can be a safety hazard)
If you have the license # of the SUV and some witnesses you might be able to collect some money from the SUV's company by claiming that the caused the accident. It's a heck of a long but at this point you have nothing to lose.
Now go buy some insurance, including collision coverage.
