If you have a brand new car that is fast or considered a sports car (+200 hp) and the car is brand new say $25k and you need full coverage you are looking at probably insurance costs of $200-$300 a month! If you get an older used car, you don't owe anything on it, and its a regular reasonably safe car and you only get liability insurance(if you hit someone there damages are covered, your car would not be) you could be looking at $50-$90 a month. It really depends. Be careful when searching for quotes online. Most companies use credit scores now.
