doesn't cost THEM anything! I was recently insured by a 'web based' car insurance company. When the year ended, I was shocked to find that they refused to give me any NCD for that year (I still have 2 years NCD with my previous insurers before the 'Web based' insurer). Surely it wouldn't cost them anything to give me NCD for the current year especially when I'm going to another insurer. These kind of insurers should make it quite clear that they do not give/accept NCD before people insure with them. I'm sure that hardly anyone would take out car insurance knowing full well that they will not get any NCD.
