Best car insurance?
I'm looking for a new car insurance company. Of course I want something that is inexpensive but I am not worried about that. I want something that will help me the best in case I get into a car accident. (Meaning not calling back and forth to get the help and answers I need, direct forward responses, etc.) Would anyone happen to have a website that gives reviews on car insurance? Please don't respond with just a company, tell me who and why. Thank you.
The ones I am interested in the most are Esurance, AAA, State Farm, Nationwide, and Progressive.

This probably isn't what you want to hear but your best bet is not to get insurance online. I work for an insurance company and we get tons of people coming in complaining about getting insurance online and not understanding the terms or pay options... Honestly, the names you've heard of are probably your best bet...AAA, State Farm, Nationwide, All State, Progressive, GMAC, AIG, Geico... Go to an insurance broker in your area and they can help you best. They'll put all of your info in a rater and it'll tell them what the best company is for your. Then you can compare rates. Just be sure that your liability limits are high enough that if you total someone's car you have enough insurance to replace it (example: you can't buy a car for $15k anymore and most people have $15K as their liab limit so anything over that comes out of your pocket ). Good luck!

I have always had State Farm. (about 33 yrs) I find that the rates are a little less expensive than others. I have had several accident related claims some at fault and other not at fault. In all cases I was very please with them. It could be the agent.. but I have changed agents several times b/c of moves I have made. I try to get an agent close to my home. I am sure I drive these people crazy because I usually call once a month to ask questions about something! I have all my insurance policies, vehicle, jewelry, life, homeowners... all. They will also give discounts with multiple vehicles on the plan. You can also save monthly by using their draft plan from your checking or savings account.

The best website I have seen to look at reviews for an insurance company is one of the oldest on the web, it is the BBB. Another great website to find out the ratings and analysis is A.M.Best. The companies you listed below all seem to have great ratings and are some of the most popular choices in the auto insurance industry today. The great news about these choices is the stability and financially backing they will be able to provide any consumer. The downside to going with a big company like these would be the numbers game. With any big company, you might find yourself more as a number or a statistic rather than a real human being. These companies will be in business no matter what you do or say. This gives the consumer no leverage. If you was to tell the CEO of a major company, "I will take my business elsewhere if you plan on doing this", they may not really care. If you go with a small agent or a company trying to survive in your community or state, they may be more likely to bend over backwards to insure your happiness. They would do whatever they could to make sure you re happy. However, they may not be able to do some of the things the bigger companies couldn't because of resources. With this all being said, each state does require any agent or company to meet all guidelines the state sets forth and obtain any license needed to operate within the state and the state regulates the insurance industry to protect the consumers. My advice would be to get an agent you trust or find a good company and check out the BBB or A.M. Best and find out how they have handled claims or their customer service is.

Re: Best car insurance?
For the most part, it's the carrier with the lowest rate at the moment. Most carriers are B+ or better, meaning they are considered ok with A.M.Best. An independent agent may work with some smaller, lesser known carriers. That's who to contact for a great insurance quote

Re: Best car insurance?
State Farm has one of the best records when it comes to handling claims. They might not always be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Re: Best car insurance?
Hey , i have dealt with State Farm , it is like it gives ensure that you have adequate insurance coverage for car equipment.
This will help to repair or replace your damaged or destroyed equipment after a covered loss.
Keep an up-to-date inventory of your car ,
Remember to include leased equipment that is not specifically insured by the leasing company.
Take security precautions.
If possible, avoid having a concentration of valuable items located in one area, as it can provide a would-be thief a quick and easy target.
When you buy equipment, record the serial numbers of each item and store them in a safe place.
You may want to install a security alarm, and visibly display the alarm company's shield.
