Default Is it possible for a person with no permanent address to keep his car

legally insured? My goal is to travel around the country, living in one place for no more than six months at a time. I would prefer to stay in cheap motels with weekly rates. Either that or rent furnished rooms. Do rooming houses still exist?

How will this plan affect my auto inusrance? I only have the legal minimums. I don't have comprehensive insurance. Liability only.

Insurance companies require the address where your car is "garaged". Meaning parked at night. So, no probably not. If you give them an address where you don't actually live (friend or relative) and then, say, pay your bills online and they find out they might not have to legally cover any claims.
