My license expired 2years ago on my b-day and I currently have no will to drive, but my daughter has her license so I would love to register and insure my car to have in case she needs to drive it for herself or to drive me around if the need comes up. But I don't know if its possible to do or if I have to renew my license first?.......

You dont need a drivers license to buy a car.
I live in Ohio. My dad hasnt had a drivers license for many years now due to medical reasons, yet he has purchased many new cars for my mom over the years. Every one of these cars has been registered in his name.
I really dont think things would be different in your state.
A drivers license only says you are driving the car-it doesnt mean you need one to buy a car or register it.
