Default How do I not get ripped off from the insurance company when I get in a wreck?

I have the repairs paid for by the other driver's insurance co since he ran into my car when I was at the yield sign. I was waiting on a car exiting from the highway at the yield sign. The back of my car is messed up. Since this is my first accident, I don't know how to deal with the insurance company. I just don't want to be taken advantage over.

The only way is to settle it without insurance money. Use only your own money to pay for the damage. If you can't afford that, the insurance companies free to do what they want.
