Default I now have insurance through my work( ppo plan). I am trying to buy a business. i...

...have preexisting cond.????? I am trying to get information on insurannce for people with preexistin conditions . I have diabeteis beacuse I had to have part of my pancreas removed. I am only 26 and will always be diabetic no matter what. My dream is to be a small business owner, and now have that oppurtunity.
But am I going to be stuck working for the man so to speak? Is Gruop health coverage through a large company the only viable option for me ????? I am hearing that I might be able to get in a high risk pool, but this could cost over a thousand dollars a month. I am just trying find out before I get invested in this and am stuck not being able to afford insurance. Is my draem a possible reality or am I a catch 22 person that is frankly just screwed? Thanks for you answers in advance.

I think it would depend on how you are obtaining insurance for your own business.
If you are going to have employees, then you may not have a problem getting insurance, as it would be a group plan. I don't know how many people have to be employed by the business, that is something you will have to check into.

If you are not going to have employees, and want to get individual insurance, then you are right, you would be in a high risk pool and it would cost you a bundle.
