I had my car fixed about 3 weeks ago spending $1,300.00 to "fix it"; the 2nd day after I got the vehicle it caught fire and burned up. The fire marshall said that they did not reconnect the fuel line correctly. the business owner said he would have his insurance contact me but alas no call; I asked for the insurance information and he would not give it to me. I'd perfer not to have to obtain an attorney as that would just add more to the cost unless he would be liable for the fees also, is there a way to find out if he actually has insurance? I'm just fed up with it now.

Sounds to me like you're going to end up in court any way. You might as well go ahead and hire that attorney. You can ask the court to award you your legal fees as part of the settlement.

Have your insurance company pursue the matter.
