This is the great American irony. People whine, b*tch and moan about their government but don't even believe in their government enough to elect a party that believes in government to go to work fixing it. You can't elect Republicans and expect them to fix the government. They don't believe in government and make government worse EVERY time you elect them.

People must be stockholders in all these companies that fleece the nation. What other reason could people possibly have to keep a system that clearly doesn't work in their best interests?

Government is a bigger threat to freedom than big business.

Ever hear of Nazi, Communist, Cultural Revolution, Killing Fields, Holocaust?

Where did you get the idea that government can do a better job at anything? Who would you trust to more competantly deliver a delicate package, the government-run US Post Office or commercially owned FedEx? Who do you think would care more if you were a dissatisfied customer, the government-run water company or a commercially owned private business that knows you could choose to take your business elsewhere?

Do you really think if we created a bigger government and let them take over all our business interests, that we would get better services and better products? Ask someone who grew up in the Soviet Union or China and moved to the US and see which they prefer.

It's the American way...
A lot of people feel that when things are run like a company (health care) you will receive better service because the company wants more profit. So I guess the Walmart logic is what works best ---get the person in and out faster with a satisfactory product and serve no one who has no money..

Ha ha ha! Big business has to compete with other business. If they do not provide a satisfactory product at a competitive price, then they will go out of existence. government has no competition. They are not motivated by customer satisfaction. In fact (like as seen in government schools and teachers unions) even when they are completely failing, the government continues to be in business, and still can force for you to pay for their failing job.....

I would trust big insurance and big business before government. No matter what president they put us deepoer in debt and pass stupid laws and ignore what people want. Would you run your finance in your house the way government does?
