You can get your license suspended for not having insurance on anything you drive on public roads.

In maine they require you to fill out a sr22 which i believe they do in every state. Your insurance will go up and the only way you can have a license is if you have insurance. So basically if you dont have a car or bike but you want to have your license still you will have to insure your license.
