I ride my friend's bike and be ok? I have auto insurance, but no bike yet, so I have no motorcycle insurance. If I ride my friend's bike, will his insurance cover me? Or does my auto insurance cover me? Or am I not covered unless I have motorcycle insurance? Can you even get motorcycle insurance without a bike?

Your friend may or may not have a "no matter who's driving" (obviously a very technical term) policy but I doubt it as that's rare to have. But if he does then you can ride no problem. It's just like you driveng someone elses car.

YOu auto insurance most likely does not cover you. No you can't get motorcycle insurance if you don't have a bike.

If you do have auto insurance check with your company. It may cover you no matter what you drive or maybe you can add that.

or----you could just ride and hope nothing happens...
