Default I need dental insurance, but I don't know where to look?

I am in serious need of dental insurance or some kind of coverage. I am a resident of Illinois, and I am hoping to find something that the State can help me with. I have tried before to apply for these, and I was not eligible. I work full-time, but my company does not offer insurance yet...and when they do, they said that it will be rather expensive. I have also looked at insurance plans, but they're all too expensive. Technically, I can afford them right now, but that would pretty much be the insurance itself...not the co-pays. I am also saving to move into my own place, and based on my estimated budgets, I will barely be making enough to afford even the most inexpensive apartment when all expenses are tied together. Under my grandmother's rule, I cannot change my job, without the threat of being kicked out (she is verbally and emotionally abusive); otherwise I would choose an employer who does offer dental insurance. Is there anywhere else I could turn?

Wow...unfortunately there really aren't any great individual plans out there. If you need dental work without any insurance, you're probably better off trying to sign up for CareCredit. It's a medical/dental credit card. First, you have to find a dentist that takes CareCredit. CareCredit is currently offering 0% interest for 12 months. It's not insurance, but it could help with paying for needed dental work. I personally have an account that I used for Lasik. It was a tremendous help with the high cost of the procedure. The dental office that I work at takes this plan and most people who have applied have qualified for the promotion. You can get more information about CareCredit at their website....http://www.carecredit.com/
I'm sorry about your current living conditions. I hope this information helps a little.
