Default Question about Dental Insurance?

I am thinking of signing up with AmeriPlan tp help me save on my dental work. Does anyone know how this plan works? Do I have to pay for everything out of pocket first and then later get reimbursed or does it really give you a good discount?

AmeriPlan is not an insurance plan, it's a discount plan. You have to go to a participating provider and pay a discounted fee instead of the full fee... make sure there are dentists in your area who participate with AmeriPlan before you sign up. I'd hate to see you have to travel an hour or so to save some money... especially with gas prices so high.
