...apply thru the state for coverage? My friend has had some really bad tooth aches lately. He had a crown and it fell out. Now he needs his tooth taken out but has no insurance. How does he go about getting emergency dental coverage thru the state (MI)?

If it is a true emergency then he should go to the ER and have it treated. They will apply for assistance through the government while he is in the hospital.

I can tell you now he will get the minimum of everything. They do not put on crowns. They do not repair anything. They pull teeth. (Ask me...). But if it is infected there's not much he can do, unless he can find money.

No. If he already has the problem there's no way the state is going to cover it because they know they'll have to pay for it. Sorry!
