Default Don't have dental insurance. My front teeth filling broke in half. How much will it

cost to get it fixed? Okay the filling is pretty much just a 1/4 of my front teeth. It happened by me stupidly biting in a jawbreaker that was kinda chewy at some parts? Like one and a half year ago? I kinda want to get it fixed .. and them taking the other half out and filling it all in? I'm not sure if they will do that. Would you know how much it would cost? And i'm only 15 . Will they let me go alone to the dentist without a parent. My mom doesn't like me wasting like hundreds of dollar on something that she could help me with but we don't have any dental insurance so i really don't know how she's gonna help me. Ahh .. this is so frustrating. And i'm really hoping i can get this all done and over with soon cause i'm going on vacation and i haven't seen some people for a while so i wanna look nice. o.o

You could go to one of the dental schools to get the work done. It cost about half what you'd pay in an average dental office. I've done it and found that they can handle simple stuff fairly well, but anything very complicated I wouldn't trust them with. Just make sure the supervising teacher pays attention and oversees the work. DO NOT trust the student, no matter how confident they sound.

years ago my husband broke is front tooth filling and we didn't have dental insurance. it cost him about $3,000. you should check with your dentist and tell him about your situation. he may offer to do it pro-bono (for free) and write it off for tax purposes.

I work at a dental office in Louisiana. If they will be able to just add a filling back to the teeth, it will probably cost about $200-$300 a tooth. If crowns need to be done it will probably cost about $800 per tooth.
