Default We have life insurance but no medical or dental ... is that stupid?

And we scrape by every month and our life insurance is 65 a month! And I think I have 3 cavaties to be filled. My husband won't let me cancel. Is this stupid?

Yes. Get medical and dental insurance. What happens if you are in a major car accident that your car insurance won't cover?! Hospital stays are not cheap... In fact, a visit to the ER for stitches can run you a grand easily. Better to have it and not use it than be stuck with bills that you can't pay.

Life insurance is only for when you die. Hope you aren't planning to kill off your hubby!

Absolutely! You need medical insurance at least, if you don't have dental. What if you get hurt? At least take comfort in knowing that without medical insurance, your life insurance will definitely get used since you'll probably die without medical attention!

That's silly! Tell him to get health insurance.
